Constraint on $f(R)$ Gravity through the Redshift Space Distortion
Published 2014-11-17Version 1
In this paper, a specific family of $f(R)$ models that can produce the $\Lambda$CDM background expansion history was constrained by the currently available geometric and dynamic probs. With the observations that the linear matter power spectrum in this specific $f(R)$ models is much sensitive to the values of the model parameter $f_{R0}$, therefore a tight constraint was expected when the redshift pace distortion information was included. Our analysis shows the positive results that the model parameter $|f_{R0}|$ is of $\mathcal{O}(10^{-6})$ order in $1\sigma$ regions with the addition of ten redshift pace distortion data points $f\sigma_8(z)$.
