Resummation is necessary to obtain reliable predictions, as well as good agreement with data from the Fermilab Tevatron, in the range of transverse momentum where the cross section is largest. Predictions are made for the Large Hadron Collider where the QCD diphoton continuum is shown to have a softer spectrum in transverse momentum than the Higgs boson signal.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2006-08-12T23:58:24.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "12.38.Cy", "14.70.Bh" ], "keywords": [ "production", "all-orders soft-gluon resummation valid", "prompt single photons", "transverse momentum distribution", "continuum prompt photon pairs" ], "tags": [ "conference paper", "journal article" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 5, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 723744, "adsabs": "2006AIPC..870..411B" } } }
