These features reflect hadronization from a deconfined partonic matter whose particle formation scheme is distinctly different from fragmentation phenomenology in elementary collisions. Multi-parton dynamics, such as quark coalescences or recombinations, appear to be essential to explain the experimental measurements at the intermediate transverse momentum of 2--5 GeV/c. Constituent quarks seem to be the dominant degrees of freedom at hadronization. Heavy quark production should help quantify deconfined matter properties.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2005-01-20T03:48:14.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "25.75.Nq", "25.75.Dw", "24.10.Pa", "25.75.-q" ], "keywords": [ "quark probes", "deconfinement", "intermediate transverse momentum", "help quantify deconfined matter properties", "particle formation scheme" ], "tags": [ "conference paper", "journal article" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 18, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 675280 } } }
