Using Tevatron ppbar collision data from 1992-1996, the CDF and D0 collaborations measured mW to a precision of 59 MeV. The ongoing Tevatron Run 2 has produced a factor of 5 more collisions, promising a significant reduction in the W mass uncertainty. CDF has analyzed the first 200/pb of Run 2 data and determined the uncertainty on its W mass measurement to be 76 MeV.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2005-05-20T15:54:25.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "boson mass measurement", "tevatron ppbar collision data", "d0 collaborations measured mw", "significant reduction", "unobserved higgs boson" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 4, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 682995, "adsabs": "2005hep.ex....5064H" } } }
