The meson-meson interactions are described with a chiral effective Lagrangian within the framework of unitarized coupled channel amplitudes. In particular, we extend a previous work performed in the charmonium sector by calculating the cross-sections for $\\Upsilon$ scattering by light pseudoscalar mesons ($\\pi, K, \\eta$) and vector mesons ($\\rho, K^\\ast, \\omega$). We evaluate the relevant channels and compare the results with existing literature.
