The presented model combines the approximation and simulation approaches. The diffusion is used to estimate queue distributions. The goal of the simulation part of the model is the evaluation of the AQM mechanism. Based on the obtained queue distributions, the simulation part of the model decides on package losses and influences the flow intensity of the transmitter.
