These theories feature a rich system of sub-theories, corresponding to different consistent truncations. We review the structure of exceptional field theory and elaborate on various potential applications. In particular, we discuss how exceptional field theories capture some of the the magic supergravity triangles, Hull's $*$-theories related to timelike dualities, as well as the generalized supergravities related to integrable deformations of AdS/CFT.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2019-05-20T19:40:18.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "exceptional field theory", "exceptional field theories capture", "manifestly duality covariant formulations", "magic supergravity triangles", "target space theories" ], "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 20, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable" } } }
