To this end, we adopt the extended SLy5st interaction which includes spin-density dependent terms and stabilize nuclear matter with respect to spin instabilities. The effect of the spin-density dependent terms is examined in both the mean field and the spin-flip excited state calculations. The numerical results show that those terms give appreciable repulsive contributions to the M1 and GT response functions of finite nuclei.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2014-01-09T12:34:40.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "21.60.Jz", "24.30.Cz", "24.30.Gd", "25.40.Kv" ], "keywords": [ "finite nuclei", "extended skyrme interaction", "spin-isospin response", "spin-density dependent terms", "skyrme energy density functional" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1103/PhysRevC.89.044311", "journal": "Physical Review C", "year": 2014, "month": "Apr", "volume": 89, "number": 4, "pages": "044311" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 6, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 1276548, "adsabs": "2014PhRvC..89d4311W" } } }
