We discuss the infrared regularization and the extended on-mass-shell scheme. Both allow for the inclusion of further degrees of freedom beyond pions and nucleons and the application to higher-loop calculations. As applications we consider the chiral expansion of the nucleon mass to order ${\\cal O}(q^6)$ and the inclusion of vector and axial-vector mesons in the calculation of nucleon form factors. Finally, we address the complex-mass scheme for describing unstable particles in effective field theory.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2011-12-23T14:52:25.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "baryon chiral perturbation theory", "nucleon form factors", "complex-mass scheme", "one-nucleon sector", "axial-vector mesons" ], "tags": [ "conference paper", "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1088/1742-6596/348/1/012001", "journal": "Journal of Physics Conference Series", "year": 2012, "month": "Mar", "volume": 348, "number": 1, "pages": "012001" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 13, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 1082837, "adsabs": "2012JPhCS.348a2001S" } } }
