The motion of the quark is dissipative. It moves in spiral until it eventually comes to rest. The world-sheet geometry is locally AdS_2 but has a time dependent horizon. The string profile in the static gauge extends from the boundary till a point where an embedding singularity exists. Connections with other circular string motions are established.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v3", "updated": "2012-03-26T10:44:23.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "magnetic field", "heavy quarks", "time dependent horizon", "static gauge extends", "heavy charged quark" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1007/JHEP04(2012)096", "journal": "Journal of High Energy Physics", "year": 2012, "month": "Apr", "volume": 2012, "pages": 96 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 0, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 944116, "adsabs": "2012JHEP...04..096K" } } }
