In this theory B and L are on the same footing and the anomalies are cancelled by adding a single new fermionic generation. There is an interesting realization of the seesaw mechanism for neutrino masses. Furthermore, there is a natural suppression of flavour violation in the quark and leptonic sectors since the gauge symmetries and particle content forbid tree level flavor changing neutral currents involving the quarks or charged leptons. Also one finds that the stability of a dark matter candidate is an automatic consequence of the gauge symmetry. Some constraints and signals at the Large Hadron Collider are briefly discussed.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v4", "updated": "2010-09-01T13:49:47.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "11.30.Fs", "12.60.-i", "11.30.Qc" ], "keywords": [ "gauge symmetry", "local gauge symmetries", "lepton number", "flavor changing neutral currents", "level flavor changing neutral" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review D", "year": 2010, "month": "Jul", "volume": 82, "number": 1, "pages": "011901" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 5, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 845452, "adsabs": "2010PhRvD..82a1901F" } } }
