Underlying reasons for the very small sizes of 2.0-2.5 fm of Cooper pairs in the surface of nuclei are analysed. It is shown that the confining properties of the nuclear volume is the dominating effect. It is argued that for Cooper pair sizes LDA is particularly inadapted.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2010-08-26T11:00:35.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "21.30.Fe", "21.10.Re", "24.30.Cz", "21.60.Jz" ], "keywords": [ "superfluid nuclei", "simplified model", "cooper pair sizes lda", "simple harmonic oscillator model reproducing" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1103/PhysRevC.82.034314", "journal": "Physical Review C", "year": 2010, "month": "Sep", "volume": 82, "number": 3, "pages": "034314" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 8, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 845034, "adsabs": "2010PhRvC..82c4314V" } } }
