Possibilities include TeV-scale bosons with electroweak coupling, very light bosons which nearly decouple from the standard model particles, and bosons which communicate with a quasi-hidden sector. A broad survey is given of the theoretical possibilities and of the physics implications for particle physics and cosmology. Several novel examples, including light Z's suggested by PAMELA, Stueckelberg Z's, and Z's associated with the mediation of supersymmetry breaking, are described.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2009-11-30T21:17:13.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "14.80.Bn", "11.30.Pb", "14.70.Dj", "11.30.Qc" ], "keywords": [ "gauge bosons", "standard model particles", "broad survey", "possibilities", "light bosons" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "doi": "10.1063/1.3327671" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 10, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 831541, "adsabs": "2010AIPC.1200...55L" } } }
