Bulk and shear viscous effects on the evolution of radial and elliptic flow are studied with different model assumptions for the transport coefficients. We find that the temperature dependence of the relaxation time for the bulk viscous pressure, especially its critical slowing down near the quark-hadron phase transition at T_c, partially offsets effects from the strong growth of the bulk viscosity itself near T_c, and that even small values of the specific shear viscosity eta/s of the fireball matter can be extracted without large uncertainties from poorly controlled bulk viscous effects.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2009-09-08T20:23:08.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "24.10.Nz", "25.75.Ld", "12.38.Mh" ], "keywords": [ "bulk viscosity", "generating flow", "controlled bulk viscous effects", "specific shear viscosity eta/s", "elliptic flow" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "APS", "journal": "Physical Review C", "year": 2010, "month": "Feb", "volume": 81, "number": 2, "pages": "024905" }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 13, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 830618, "adsabs": "2010PhRvC..81b4905S" } } }
