For the zero-temperature backgrounds we obtain exact solutions in both pure Gauss-Bonnet gravity and Gauss-Bonnet gravity with non-trivial matter. The dynamical exponent undergoes finite renormalization in the latter case. For the finite-temperature backgrounds we obtain black brane solutions perturbatively and calculate the ratio of shear viscosity to entropy density $\\eta/s$. The KSS bound is still violated but unlike the relativistic counterparts, the causality of the boundary field theory cannot be taken as a constraint.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2009-10-11T01:30:23.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "corrections", "dynamical exponent undergoes finite renormalization", "black brane solutions", "boundary field theory", "pure gauss-bonnet gravity" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "publisher": "IOP", "journal": "Journal of High Energy Physics", "year": 2009, "month": "Oct", "volume": 2009, "number": 10, "pages": "031" }, "note": { "typesetting": "LaTeX", "pages": 24, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 828160, "adsabs": "2009JHEP...10..031P" } } }
