In a previous paper the coefficients of the next-to-leading-order lattice action were determined by matching nucleon-nucleon scattering data for momenta up to the pion mass. Here the same lattice action is used to simulate the ground state of up to 12 neutrons in a periodic cube using Monte Carlo. We explore the density range from 2% to 8% of normal nuclear density and analyze the ground state energy as an expansion about the unitarity limit with corrections due to finite scattering length, effective range, and P-wave interactions.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v2", "updated": "2008-04-17T14:57:51.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "21.30.-x", "13.75.Cs", "21.65.Cd", "21.60.Ka" ], "keywords": [ "chiral effective field theory", "dilute neutron matter", "next-to-leading order", "ground state", "normal nuclear density" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "journal": "European Physical Journal A", "year": 2008, "month": "Mar", "volume": 35, "number": 3, "pages": 357 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 25, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 770811, "adsabs": "2008EPJA...35..357B" } } }
