The resonance shape is due not only to the strong pi-N interaction in the p wave but the small interaction in the s wave; the latter is due to spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking in QCD (i.e. the Nambu-Goldstone nature of the pion). A brief overview of experimental tests of chiral perturbation theory and chiral based models is presented", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2007-10-17T20:17:09.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "keywords": [ "energy dependence", "delta resonance", "chiral dynamics", "chiral perturbation theory", "low energy theorems" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "journal": "Few-Body Systems", "year": 2007, "month": "Dec", "volume": 41, "number": "1-2", "pages": 83 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 11, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 764637, "adsabs": "2007FBS....41...83B" } } }
