In these scenarios, the equation of state of dark energy varies periodically and may provide a way to unify the early acceleration (inflation) and the late time acceleration of the universe. These models give also an effective way to tackle the so-called cosmic coincidence problem. We examine observational constraints on this class of models from the latest observational data including the \\emph{gold} sample of 182 type Ia supernovae, the CMB shift parameter $R$ and the BAO measurements from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.", "revisions": [ { "version": "v1", "updated": "2007-09-26T18:55:52.000Z" } ], "analyses": { "subjects": [ "98.80.Cq" ], "keywords": [ "oscillating dark energy models", "cosmological bounds", "sloan digital sky survey", "dark energy varies", "cmb shift parameter" ], "tags": [ "journal article" ], "publication": { "journal": "Physics Letters B", "year": 2007, "month": "Nov", "volume": 656, "number": "1-3", "pages": 15 }, "note": { "typesetting": "TeX", "pages": 5, "language": "en", "license": "arXiv", "status": "editable", "inspire": 762039, "adsabs": "2007PhLB..656...15J" } } }
